When Mercury goes into retrograde,  which happens three times each year and last for approx. three weeks at a time, it can seriously wreak havoc in our lives.   It rules over so many day to day areas of our lives including thinking, timing, travelling, communicating and sharing information.   It can make for a frustrating experience at work and in our social lives.

Almost all the major planets have regularly-occurring retrograde periods in astrology.   During this period they appear to move backward on their usual course.  So this is a time to slow down and reflect on the areas of our lives ruled by the spinning planet.   As the most talked about of all the retrogrades is Mercury known for causing all  sorts of snags in communication, scheduling &  technical malfunction of devices is because it happens more than the other planets going retrograde.  Others reverse course from once a year to once every two years .   As Mercury backspins the most often it will often feel like the most chaotic.
