Kunzite Rough

This is a light pink to a soft violet variety of the mineral spodumene.  

It is found in Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, and California. The gem was named after pioneering gemologist George Frederick Kunz (1856-1932).

It's a joyful stone and can open and connect the heart with the mind, encouraging communion between the two.  Can strengthen the circulatory system and the heart muscle and is a wonderful stone to use for depression and anxiety.   Also good for those going through puberty.
